Spring of water gushing up to everlasting and abundant life, rivers of living water flowing from the hearts of those who experience Christ: these metaphors capture the lushness and refreshment of the oasis. At Calvary, you will find water in the desert, silence in sound, spirit in the body, and soulfulness in living.
We envision a church that is “a dizzying whirl of laughter, music, cookies, pealing bells, new ideas, children playing on the lawn, and people swarming like bees in a hive.” (In This Mountain by Jan Karon) We hope you will be part of that whirl! As we journey together in our quest for God, we discover that we are found by God who turns the desert into a spring, silence into a song, and stillness into a dance.
We at Calvary are embarking on the exciting adventure of creating an authentic, life giving Christian community. We seek to grow in our relationship with our living God and to serve God in the world. God calls us to become not merely servants, but friends, finding the divine in our everyday living and bringing healing and hope to the hurting world. We invite you to join us!
